  3. If the dealer is showing you an up card that is six or lower, then you should continue to take a hit until you have at least 12. When you have 12 or higher take a stand – simple really!

  4. Doubling down means to double your original ante – simple really!

  5. If your first two cards totals 10 or 11, and at the same time, the dealers up card is nine or lower then you should double down – simple really!

  6. If you are dealt a pair then you can divide them into two separate hands. The two separate hands will become two separate wagers and therefore cost you double your money. Dividing your hand is known as splitting – simple really!

  7. Always split aces and eights and never split any other pair – simple really!
